I actually go to attend my old roommates wedding on Sunday... as a guest!
I never get to do that!
I got to eat a full meal, talk with friends and dance! Fun. I couldn't

Amy and Nick got married in Coronado - the whole wedding party got to wear
flip-flops!
They even got to be barefoot during the ceremony! Way more comfortable

Nikki and Jason hang out at Torrey Pines a lot so it was fitting to spend
some time there for their engagement session. First we went to Del Mar and
found a cowboy store! They love cowboy stuff and I think went back and
bought some stuff! Fun!

my First Wedding Images :

I was looking thru some old slides (yes, Slides) and found this image.
I even remember taking this image...I saw the couple coming down the
street and I had my wide angle on so I snapped a couple of frames as they
walked past.
Little did I know then that I would be photographing weddings full time!
And it was in Italy! Please refer your friends or family who want to get
married in Italy - I want to photograph their wedding so I can combine my
fine art and my weddings! YEY!!

I love photographing engagement sessions - I know I've said
this before
but I just really enjoy them!! We started out in
Balboa Park.
I always see other photographers there too -
it's just a popular place with lots of options.
Today I had the PERFECT light!! I love when that happens!
We also got to run around downtown - one of my favorite places
to do engagement sessions
Rebecca and Todd where great sports
when I suggested we do a photo in front of the
Dick's Last
Resort menu! I figured he could be the "king" and
she was a "chick".
I just felt like being a little
silly.

I photographed Shannan and Mike's wedding a couple of years
ago and now
I get the honor of doing RippeeKid's sessions with
Collin - he's quite the little dude!!
We just had to get a
shot with the wagon that Grandpa got him...

This is Madi and Aubrey - pretty cute, huh?? I've known Denyse
(their Mom)
since about 1994 or so when I was a sales rep for
a local printing company.
We played volleyball together way
back then!! How time flies!!
Anyway, Denyse has a collection
of Rippee prints in her house....a few fine art prints and
LOTS of fun photos of the girls. The natural light at my
studio
makes for great portraits. My studio partner, CeCe
Canton, and I painted
this area knowing it would look great in
color and in B/W.

| Wedding
at the Prado :
San Diego was Jeff & Raini's destination for their
wedding |

Jeff and Raini had the perfect size wedding - they had about
70 guests,
a best woman and best man and lots of really cute
kids!!
Lots of style too - I loved the guys ties, the
flowers were simple and beautiful.
Can I just say how cute the
little guy with the umbrella is?? I'm sure you agree!!
I was inspired while I was shooting their rings....so I did
two of them!
I used the flower girls flowers because I wanted
to tie the rings with the ribbon for one.
The other image has
the page opened that was used during the
ceremony - part of
telling the story with images.
My "sign shots" were a big hit at the reception -
even the kids got into it.

I met Jen and Everett at Balboa Park for their engagement
session -
we also went to Ocean Beach for some sunset shots.
We started talking
about the farmers market and I mentioned a
bakery I used to buy cookies from...
I described them...and
then...Jen and Everett brought me homemade cookies
when came
to pick out their engagement photos!!!! They were delicious!!
Thank you!!
They are getting married on July 19th. It will be a fun
wedding too!

| June 2008 - A really busy
month!! |

wedding in Clovis, California :
Ashley and Brian get married at her Grandparents house |

It was so much fun to photograph Ashley and Brian's wedding!
It was up at her Grandparents house which of course had lots
of great "props"!
Like the baby blue '63 Chevy
pickup truck!! I wish I had another half hour to do more
photos!!
My Grandpa had a '65 Chevy and I actually drove in
while I was in High School -
I loved that truck! Ashley's
Grandpa got a kick out of me getting so excited about his
truck -
he totally buffed it all out! The living room had this
great couch with a painting
hanging behind it - Ashley said
they've had it for as long as she can remember -
I wanted to include all of this in the photos.
I want to thank Ashley's family for making us
feel like we were part of their family!!
They are awesome!!!
